PNP Entrepreneur Business Case Support

New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream
support for partner firms.

The old Entrepreneurial Stream is closed. Its replacement, the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream, asks for $500K net worth and $150K invested, then nominates only after the business runs for six months and meets a signed Business Performance Agreement. The work is in proving the business will actually deliver.

How New Brunswick selects

New Brunswick nominates on performance, not a points draw

NBBIS is built around a Business Performance Agreement. The Expression of Interest and business plan get the file started, but nomination is earned by actually operating the business to agreed terms.

1
Propose. The candidate submits an Expression of Interest with a business plan written to the NBBIS template, setting out the venture, capital, and market.
2
Operate. On approval and a work permit, the candidate establishes or buys the business and runs it hands-on in New Brunswick.
3
Perform. After at least six months meeting the signed Business Performance Agreement, the candidate is nominated for permanent residence.

Because the nomination is earned at the performance stage, the business plan and financial model have to be operationally real. That is the document we build.

What we tell partners about New Brunswick
1
The old Entrepreneurial Stream is closed; the active program is the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream that replaced it.
2
Thresholds are $500K net worth ($300K for farming) and $150K invested in eligible investments, with at least 51% ownership and hands-on management.
3
The Expression of Interest must include a business plan written to the NBBIS template, which is where the file is mostly won or lost.
4
Nomination is back-loaded: it follows six months of operating the business and meeting a signed Business Performance Agreement, not the initial approval.
5
Because the nomination depends on real performance, the financial model and operating plan have to survive contact with an actual New Brunswick market.

FAQ

New Brunswick entrepreneur files, answered

Is the New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream still open?+
No. The Entrepreneurial Stream is closed and has been replaced by the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream. Old Entrepreneurial Stream forms are valid only for existing clients of that stream, not for new files, which go through the NBBIS.
What are the current NBBIS thresholds?+
Personal net worth of at least $500K ($300K for farming applicants), a minimum $150K in eligible investments, at least 51% ownership with day-to-day management, and CLB 4 language. A $2,000 processing fee applies to the application.
When does the nomination actually happen?+
It is back-loaded. The candidate establishes and operates the business, and is nominated only after at least six months of running it and meeting the signed Business Performance Agreement. The initial approval is not the nomination.
How important is the business plan?+
It is central. The Expression of Interest must include a business plan written to the NBBIS template, and because nomination later depends on hitting the performance agreement, the plan and financial model have to be operationally realistic from the start.
Do you provide immigration advice or file the application?+
No. We are a business consulting company, not an immigration firm. We work behind your client's RCIC or immigration lawyer on the commercial file only: business plan, market research, financial model, and the operational documentation for the performance agreement. We do not provide immigration advice.
