How invitations work
How British Columbia chooses who gets invited
BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration is scored and drawn, not first come first served. Registrations sit in a ranked pool and are invited above a published cut-off score.
1
Score. The EOI registration is scored on a points grid covering the business concept, personal net worth, job creation, and location.
2
Pool. Scored registrations sit in a ranked pool. Higher scores are invited first, it is not first-come.
3
Invite. BC runs periodic draws and issues invitations to apply to registrations above the cut-off score for that draw.
Invitation volumes stay small and the concept score decides the outcome. We build the business case to the standard this grid rewards, then register the file.

What we tell partners about British Columbia
1
Base Category targets new or existing businesses anywhere in BC, including Metro Vancouver.
2
Regional Pilot requires a community referral from a participating BC community outside Metro Vancouver, and an exploratory visit is mandatory before registering.
3
You CANNOT purchase an existing business under the Regional Pilot, new businesses only.
4
BC PNP held multiple Entrepreneur draws through mid-2026; the June 30 draw issued 14 invitations under the Base stream at a 118-point cut-off, and fewer than five under the Regional Pilot at a 113-point cut-off.
5
Highly selective, invitation volumes remain small; the quality of the business concept is the determining factor.

FAQ
British Columbia entrepreneur files, answered
My client meets the BC Base $600K threshold. Can we just register the EOI?+
Technically yes, but BC PNP is highly selective in 2026. The June 30, 2026 draw issued only 14 invitations at a 118-point cutoff. The business concept score (a large share of the grid) is what separates registered candidates from invited ones. We build the concept first, then register.
What is the difference between the BC Base Category and the Regional Pilot?+
Base Category is the urban stream ($600K net worth, $200K investment) and allows new or existing businesses anywhere in BC. The Regional Pilot ($300K / $100K) requires a community referral from a participating community outside Metro Vancouver, a mandatory exploratory visit, and a new business only. We scope the file to whichever subset fits the client.
Can my client buy an existing business under BC PNP?+
Under the Base Category, yes, an existing BC business can qualify with the required ownership share. Under the Regional Pilot, no, only new businesses are eligible. The deliverables differ for each, so the route is decided before any documentation begins.
How selective is BC PNP Entrepreneur right now?+
Invitation volumes remain small through 2026 and the concept score drives outcomes. We do not promise an invitation, no one can. We document the business case to the standard the grid rewards and re-verify thresholds before every registration.
Do you provide immigration advice or file the application?+
No. We are a business consulting company, not an immigration firm. We work behind your client's RCIC or immigration lawyer on the commercial file only: business plan, market research, financial model, and operational documentation. We do not provide immigration advice.
