Program status · Last reviewed July 2026
The Yukon Business Nominee Program continues accepting Expressions of Interest through scheduled 2026 intake windows; the program is separate from the Yukon Nominee Program's employer-driven worker stream, which has a distinct Whitehorse allocation pause. Net worth, liquid-asset, and investment thresholds are confirmed against Yukon's own eligibility page; the 65-point minimum and the language scoring are confirmed against Yukon's official Assessment Point Grid, which requires CLB 4 for nomination though not at the application stage. How Yukon selects
Yukon runs a scored, windowed EOI intake
The Business Nominee Program ranks Expressions of Interest on a 65-point grid and invites from that ranked pool during scheduled intake windows, rather than accepting applications continuously.
1
Score. The EOI is scored against the 65-point grid: investment level, net worth, education, business experience, language, age, and prior visits to Yukon.
2
Window. Submissions are only accepted during scheduled intake windows against the territory's annual nomination allocation.
3
Invite & operate. Yukon invites the highest-ranking EOIs, the candidate then submits the full business plan, secures a work permit, and meets Performance Agreement milestones before nomination.
Because it is a scored grid with capped windows, every point matters. We build the investment case and business plan to clear 65 points with margin, not just meet the floor.

What we tell partners about Yukon
1
Selection is a ranked Expression of Interest scored on a 65-point grid; investment, net worth, business experience, language, age, and prior Yukon visits all carry points.
2
Bonus points apply above the floor: net worth over $750K and capital investment over $400K both score additional points on the grid.
3
Yukon runs scheduled EOI intake windows rather than continuous intake; 2026 windows have included January and July submission periods against an annual nomination cap.
4
The Business Nominee Program is separate from the Yukon Nominee Program's employer-driven worker stream, which has its own distinct Whitehorse allocation pause, entrepreneur files are not affected by that pause.
5
Strong sectoral fit matters at the scoring stage: tourism, mining services, value-added manufacturing, and agri-food businesses tend to score well. Retail, wholesale, restaurants, financial services, and passive investment are not eligible business types.

FAQ
Yukon entrepreneur files, answered
My client has exactly $500K net worth. Is that enough to register?+
It meets the floor, but the program is points-scored, not pass/fail. Net worth above $750K and investment above $400K both earn bonus points on the 65-point grid. We model the score before registering so the client knows where they stand against a competitive pool.
Is Yukon's program affected by the Whitehorse worker-stream pause?+
No. That pause applies to the Yukon Nominee Program's employer-driven worker stream. The Business Nominee Program for entrepreneurs is a separate stream with its own intake windows and is not affected.
When can an EOI actually be submitted?+
Yukon runs scheduled intake windows rather than continuous intake, for example, January and July submission periods in 2026, against an annual nomination cap. We track the windows and prepare the file to be submission-ready before the window opens.
What counts toward the $300K minimum investment?+
Capital investment in the Yukon business, things like equipment and commercial property. It does not include a personal residence, the portion of a vehicle used privately, or day-to-day operating and maintenance expenses. We structure the investment plan to the categories Yukon actually credits.
Do you provide immigration advice or file the application?+
No. We are a business consulting company, not an immigration firm. We work behind your client's RCIC or immigration lawyer on the commercial file only: business plan, market research, financial model, and operational documentation. We do not provide immigration advice.
